Sizzla Shoots Music Video

Music video for Sizzla’s ‘Show More Love To The Youths’ to hit TV
• Feed The Children Africa album for May release

The much anticipated music video for Sizzla’s ‘Show More Love To The Youths’ on Feed The Children’s exciting Africa riddim was shot last Friday on locations across August Town and Sandy Park, close to Sizzla’s Judgment Yard.

In ‘Show More Love To The Youths’, conscious Rastafarian singer Sizzla delivers a deep social commentary about the state of the younger generation. Recorded on the Sly & Robbie created Africa rhythm, the song is definitely worth a good listen and radioland is making sure of it.

The theme of the music video looked at stopping crime and violence, taking care of the nation’s youths and supporting ones community.

On Friday, during the video shoot, residents of Sizzla’s community came out in their numbers to show their support as video director, Allan ‘Endless’ Tennent, worked his magic.

Directors of Feed The Children Africa label also put on a treat for children in the community, giving away school supplies such as books and pencils. Sizzla also took the time to sign autographs for the children. According to one of the directors, this is the first of several treats the Los Angeles and Jamaica based label will host in various communities across the island.

The 16-track ‘Feed The Children Africa’ compilation album will be official released at the end of May in Jamaica, North America and Europe, and will be distributed by Energy Beat Records.

In addition to Sizzla’s ‘Show More Love To The Youths’, the album also features Paul Elliot with ‘Same Set Of People’, ‘Too Much Blood A Run’ from Morgan Heritage, Richie Spice with ‘Weh The World Gone’, Norris Man delivers ‘Just To See Her Hair’, Gyptian with ‘Why’, Juice with ‘Bun Dem Up’, ‘Hold A Joy’ by Bescenta; ‘Mama Mi Love So Much’ from Feed The Children director/producer/artiste Sammo T; ‘What’s Going On’ from Anthony B; ‘Giving Love’ by Spanner Banner; ‘Shoot Out’ by Turbulance; ‘Jah Works’ from Snatcher Lion, ‘Me and U Inna Business’ from Natural Black and newcomer Stamma G with his debut ‘How Much Girl Mi Have’. Radioland is giving tracks from the label a whole lot of love.
Feed The Children Africa will also release a medley video this month featuring Natural Black, Turbulance, Juice, Bescenta, Snatcher Lion, Gyptian and Anthony B.
‘Feed The Children Africa’ is produced by Raymond Cameron, with Damion Allen as executive producer.

Gun Violence, not chatting violence - cancels Beenie Man show in UK

Hi,

I got this hot info bout Beenie man pan tour from yardflex.com...wid di violence ting... Yow star a wah gwann....

Gun violence or the alleged threat of it, forced police in South London to put the brakes on a scheduled Beenie Man gig slated to take place on Mothers Day 2007. The club Coronet in Elephant & Castle was the scene of a bloody gun assault on the previous weekend and police said their intelligence indicated a repeat shoot out was being planned.

Club Coronet's close to fatal 'Black Music Night' that took place a week before on May 5th was a repeat of the same Black Music themed night, held the previous month. Simon Parks, club owner is reported by icSouthLondon as saying there were no problems at Black Music Night a month ago - he surely did not expect the mayhem of May 5th.

One man is still in hospital with serious stomach wounds as he is one of three people injured during the shootout that took place despite what is reported as adequate security at the club. Speculations as to how a gun got through the tight security, with metal detectors and searches, are being tossed around, while police and the club's owner look for answers.

In an effort to prevent future incidents, police in Southwark have said there will be a review of the Club Coronet's licence. Parks reportedly expected a review of his licensing conditions following the shooting, but could not have expected Beenie Man's show cancellation.

Solid Agency A&R Shot and killed

Hi,

People I was listening to Irie Fm news and heard about the murder of a Jamaica Music Industry player... it was rather shocking.... yow mi shock star...... bwoy di Solid Family have it hard.... fi real... Aunty Burkie and my look alike nuh mine yah mi dear....

I got this info from one876entertainment.com....

Solid Agency artiste liaison representative Michael Lunan was one of two men shot and killed early this morning at a dance in Maverley community in St. Andrew. According to police reports, the incident happened at about 4 a.m. when a single gunman walked up and shot two men.

The death of Michael Lunan has sent shockwaves reverberating throughout the entertainment community. Ironically, it was Lunan, who is involved in representational politics, who had engineered a weekly peace dance to quell gun violence in the area.

An intelligent and well-spoken young man, Lunan had been passionate about the fate of young men who seemed trapped by the internecine gun violence in depressed areas and sought to develop programmes and activities to elevate their thinking and eventually get them denounce gun violence. One876Entertainment.com offers condolences to the family and friends of Michael Lunan.

Police figures up to March revealed that there have been 365 murders in Jamaica, 51 more when compared with the similar period last year.

“Mikey was doing so much for that community, he was even organising a Labour Day concert there with Bounty Killer and all the artistes dem…this is so sad,” a Solid Agency representative told One876Entertainment.com this morning.

Read yah suh http://www.jamaica-star.com/thestar/20070510/ent/ent1.html

"I been searchin it's been so hard to find
Good lovin and some peace of mind
I want a man weh have di golden touch

A man weh mek di rude gal blush, and such
A rudeboy fi send chill down my spine

Di soft man dem a big waste of time
Rudeboy love, bad gal nuh waan nuh hands and glove

A weh yuh hear bout?"

- Rudeboy Love, Spice featuring Pinchers.

The search is off! Spice has met the love of her life - her 'tuggy tuggy' as she puts it and says he isn't who most people would expect.

Speculations

When news broke that she was pregnant, there were many speculations about who the child's father was. Some even went as far as to zoom in on fellow artiste, Beenie Man, because of Spice's previous accusation that he was at one point interested in her, but she turned him down.

Spice, up until now, has refused to talk about her mystery man and her pregnancy. In an exclusive interview with THE STAR, Spice tells all.

"My chief concern is that everyone is trying to give me a baby father and I don't know the reason why. Me a one female artiste wha no other artiste or no one in the industry nuh know how me stay under mi dress, so why is everyone calling names on my pregnancy trying to find out who is the father?" she said.

"Even though I'm a public figure, I still have a private life and I always want to keep that part of my life private. However, due to comments and assumptions of who the father of my unborn child is, I'm now forced to come out and let the public hear what they want to hear. So lap uno frock tail and cock uno ears and listen mek me talk."

Wondering, pondering
Spice continued: "Yes I'm pregnant, fi all who a wonder and still a ponder. Yes, the father is half-Indian; yes, a somebody man mi tek whe; so what? If di roost did clean, di cock wouldn't stray and a di better h...e tell. Mi have di right o, tight o. Ah nuh good mi good, a great mi great."

"...No, a nuh nobody inna di business. No, a nuh Beenie Man; is just a gangster youth from inna di ghetto. A my likkle tuggy tuggy wha mi did a search fi find. See wha uno wha hear yah: him name Nicholas Orlando Lall, aka Canar, he is a car dealer, so I don't have to support him financially. He and I are young people in the streets that you'd call hustlers," said Spice emphatically.

Nicholas, 28, and Spice, whose correct name is Grace Hamilton, grew up in the Old Braeton community, St. Catherine, but they never exchanged more than a few words over the years. But as fate would have it, after dancing circles around each other, he finally worked up the nerve to tell her how he felt.

"We grew up passing each other everyday without knowing, 'there goes the future'...He tells me how much he used to lust at me in the TV and when I would drive past him in the lane with his family, so it's like a little love story," she laughed.

Spice says his humility among other things attracted her to him, though she had always promised herself she would never date a man with a child - Nicholas has a 3 year old daughter from a previous relationship, who Spice refers to as her 'little pumpkin'.

"First of all, everybody expected me to be involved with a popular person, rich, someone out there and hanging. But I always tell them, I am not that kind of person. I love youth from the garrison. I love humble youth. Mi nuh like nobody boasty or hype and out there and this is what attracted me to him. When he approached me, he never expected the relationship to go anywhere because he's just a thug and I'm a public figure."

"...But little did he know that these are the kind of guys that I like: cool, down to earth, easy going and simple. All I want in a relationship is someone who can make me happy and when I got to know him, I saw what I wanted. He predicted that I resembled his son's mother way before I even got pregnant and I was like 'what are you talking about?' He was like, 'yeah man, you look like you will be my son's mother.'"

Spice, 25, says she wants her fans to continue to support her as she embraces motherhood.

"I just want all my fans to know right now I'm in a life and death situation, so just pray for me and I need your support now more than ever. Don't forget to scorn dem! A wha dem hear bout?"
